That's right we are OFFICIALLY getting back into it.

Kinda. Sorta.

University's burning me out.

Okay, back up a second. Maybe the question to ask now is "How?" How do you get back into it after taking such a long break from a project? The short answer is: I dunno just do it I guess. LMAO. I'm kidding. I don't have a system for it but it's been a while so it seems apt to post another life update and tell you all where the VN is going based on talks from the team and where we're at now.

WHAT I'M DOING

I'm currently in university still trying to finally finish my degree. I wanna rush it personally because I wanna be able to work soon but I've learned my lesson trying to rush things in the past so I'm really trying to get it together now and pace myself. That goes for VN dev too. I'm not the same gung ho bitch that'll jump on any project and churn assets out like a fucking machine and never go to sleep. I've learned my lesson and I'm honestly in a really good place in my life right now where I'm touching grass, getting decent progress done on my studies, enjoying myself again, and being in love. My mental health still gets bad sometimes but I've never been better.

Unfortunately since I'm focusing on IRL stuff, that means progress is much slower. I haven't been able to draw or write as often as I used to because I spend a lot of my energy on the day to day on my readings and essays for class. It'll ultimately make me a better VN dev in the long run though since I'm studying Literature. The wait will be longer but I'll make better stuff for anyone who's interested for sure. I'll work hard to make that happen.

As for my projects, Meteor Shower is still my main with Jinn and Pyr.  Although, I have another main with my friend Moku that we released for Phantasia Jam last year called Kirei. Since Jinn always does the first drafts for Meteor Shower, I'm going to focus my writing energy on the latter project until she finishes the next chapter. Recently I'm doing GUI for one of my friends' projects for Nanoreno and then I have some songs to write and record and CGs to draw for Impulsive Decision from last year's Yuri Jam. Gonna be working on a zine comic soon too so it's still busy days ahead.

I hope this explains our pace and we'll be very thankful if you're still willing to stick around to see where this project and the future endeavors of God's Radio Dev goes.

WHAT JINN IS DOING

Jinn is still girlbossing it up with her career. Nothing's changed on that front. Last year we took a break because she was studying for her licensure exams which she passed with flying colors so she deserves a round of applause for that.

Now, I'm not gonna go into detail about the writing projects she started but she has started a few that I've been really enjoying so far and I hope to get to at some point when Meteor Shower is over. We're continuously expanding our in story universe and evolving the characters we already have as they age. We really can't wait to show you what we have in store for the future but patience is a virtue for both the dev team and the reader. We'll get to it when we get to it. Right now, we're having fun.

She's working on the script here and there as her schedule allows and so far I think she's doing an amazing job like usual.

WHAT PYR IS DOING

Pyr is also in university. He's gotten much busier than I was used to for the past few years during the pandemic. I used to be on call with him literally every single day but now he's moved back to his dorm and the internet lowkey kinda sucks over there so we can't do listening parties as often anymore where we can nerd out about pop songs before spontaneously working on a new track.

That being said he's still very active and very dedicated despite being busier. He's taking music commissions too so if you're interested go drop him a line because it's super worth it. He's working on music for Let's Misbehave and Caged Crown which are also teams I'm assisting with. Meteor Shower at the moment isn't in need of any new tracks. We have enough in stock that we can repeat that he can afford to sit back and only work on new ones as needed for turning points in the story.

I'm very thankful for his enthusiasm to revive the Twitter too every now and again because I find that I hate social media and I never wanna get on it. xD

WHERE THE GAME IS GOING

So like last time when we released the Falling Stars Update, the next major update is going to come in five chapters. This time we're going to detail the best phase of any high schooler's yearly cycle: SUMMER VACATION! There's still a little bit of the school year left to cover though, but essentially we plan for the update to be a sunny one.

Will Lori's voice be the soundtrack of Taylor's summer? Abso-fucking-lutely.

And I know that reference shows my age. Everyone knows I'm an emo bitch leave me alone.

Anyway, there will be changes on our rollout. I remember last time it really took a toll on us to release the game in one huge chunk. Instead, we'll be releasing the next update in three parts: Chapter 8+9, Chapter 10+11, and then Chapter 12. Jinn and I have been talking about that and we figured it decreases the pressure to finish and keeps us motivated because we get to update faster.

Like promised before we'll have new songs, new side characters, and this is the part where you're finally going to get a glimpse into Taylor's inner world. I'm going through a bit of an art block right now but I'm sure when we finally have the material, I'll get back into it in no time. Again, thank you so much for seeing this through with us.
